St. Joseph Pilgrim Icon
Prayer Service
June 8, 2022
Council 14122 participated in the nationwide Pilgrim Icon Program in honor of St. Joseph. This beautiful icon is housed at St. Joseph’s Oratory in Montréal, Canada’s preeminent Shrine to St. Joseph, founded by St. André Bessette, and was blessed by Pope Francis prior to traveling from Council to Council throughout North America. Council 14122 led the parish in a worship service including reading of Holy Scripture, catechesis from Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI, and prayer giving thanks to God for the gift of St. Joseph's fatherly example.
2018 Events and Activities
Some of us were able to attend the Mass of the Unborn with the principal Celebrant, our Archbishop of Atlanta, the Most Reverend Wilton D. Gregory. It’s been at The Cathedral of Christ the King for on this day for the last 29 years. It took on greater meaning especially after seeing scenes and hearing the course language on TV by the counter group opposed to our pleas to stop abortions on demand.
The Mass was well attended and I noticed several Councils were present.

Our 2018 Lenten Fish Fry was well attend by Church members and friends. Many compliments made concerning price, quality and quantity.
Mother's Day, May 13, 2018 Council Knights hand out a rose to each lady as they leave the Masses
Our Annual Golf Tournament, held at Stone Mountain, Stonemont GC on May 17th was no sure thing due to the weather. But 75 plus golfers showed up and the rain held off. Great time had by all. Thanks again to all our corporate, local businesses, donors and golfers who made this 6th annual event a great success!
Our Assembly participated in this year's Journey of the Silver Rose Program at St. Patrick's Church in Norcross. The procession began in the Church
parking lot with many participants, some in native costumes along with the KOC Color Corps

Kof C Sponsored July Pool Party
As a BIG thankyou to our Church and Pastor for their support, the KofC sponsored (along with Church member donors) a free cookout with all the fix'ns and a pool party. 180 Church members signed up to attend along with their families and the weather cooperated with sunny skies and lots of heat. A great day was had by all attendees. A BIG thank you to all the Parishioners and KofC members who made this happen!
The Year in Pictures for 2017. Help Us make
2018 Even Better!
Keep CHRIST in Christmas!
It IS better to give than to receive especially during the holiday season!
Church members and Knights joined together once again to spread some cheer throughout the community as they have done for many years.
The Last few weeks the Knights have been very busy! Holiday time means sharing with our friends and neighbors throughout the Lilburn area and this year was no different. Food and gifts were collected for the those who needed a helping hand. The process began prior to Thanksgiving and went up to the week before Christmas. For Church members and the Children, one of Santa's helpers made a special stop Sunday past to say hi and all attendees then enjoyed a free breakfast courtesy of the Knights.
The Lilburn Food Coop gives our Church a list of some families in need of support. We then go out and buy the food and gift cards. Church members and Knights then gather to put the baskets (boxes) of food together and include a gift card for each family so they can get a turkey. The Knights deliver the food to the Coop on the Wednesday before Turkey Day. For Christmas, recipients stop by our Church to pick up gifts and food. We use a Christmas Tree in the Narthex with hanging angel cards, so Church members can pick out items wished for by the Children and go purchase them. They then bring the gifts wrapped back to Church.
But we're not done yet! On top of that - A Big THANKS TO BROTHER MIKE, AND CHURCH MEMBERS - WE CONTRIBUTED $1425 THIS YEAR THROUGH OUR SUPPORT AND PATRONGE TO THE TRAPPISTS. ALL AGREE THEIR PRODUCTS ARE GREAT!

With the New Year our efforts continued with a Super Bowl Weekend Fund Raiser and
salute to our local First Responders
Many Thanks to our, now PGK, Sir Ron and DGK Chuck (now WGK), whose leadership steered us through 2016 and into 2017. We had many accomplishments despite our Council's small size. Besides achieving Star Council Status, we were able to reach out to our community. We have had our annual fund raiser during Super Bowl Weekends for several years, selling smoked Pork Butts and BBQ meals. This past year, however, we decided to thank as many of our local 1st Responders as possible in Gwinnett County, GA. We delivered several Pork Butts to the fire stations and Pork BBQ sandwiches to our local police during their shift change. They greatly appreciated our effort.

There's always a need for Charity but at Christmas time a special effort is a must!
For many years our Church and Council have combined efforts to ensure those in need get attention and assistance with gifts and food. This reflects our 2016 effort
In loving memory of the ones that our Lord called home.
